De-icing the plane

So our flight from Calgary to LA was an eventful one! We waited in long lines, went through regular customs checks AND secondary customs checks (Because apparently Jason is a terrorist), we got padded and prodded through security and our bags went through a serious strip search. After that ordeal we grabbed some lunch (last poutine and iced caps for a while) and then headed onto the plane. We had some awesome seats and got to watch the deicing fun! I want that job... seriously, spraying green and pink goo on planes? AWESOME!

If you look closely you can see the green wings on the other plane!

P.S.: Sock, say goodbye to Calgary.

  1. Where's the pink goo?

And they let you bring knitting needles on the plane?!

  2. Ditto with the knitting needles- and they thought Jason was the terrorist? :) Just glad you made it back safe and sound.

  3. I missed the pink goo, too slow with the camera
And yeah... knitting needles are fine (they are wood so I think they show up as pencils on the scanners). There is actually a scary number of things allowed as carry-ons... like scissors, and hardware!

  5. I tried to fix the formatting for the photos and everything went ka-bloey! I have no idea what you did, but I just deleted the photos and re-inserted them in a very hacky way. Hehehe.
