Angelia's Scarf

So for those of you who are knitters, you probably know the Yarn Harlot. The Yarn Harlot is cycling from Toronto to Montreal for the 15th Annual Friends For Life Bike Rally in support of Toronto People With AIDS Foundation.Anyhow, if you donate to her or her team you win a prize and I volunteered to make one of those prizes; a custom handwoven scarf!

The winner was Angelia (CONGRATS!) and after a round of colour/style questions and several different options, we chose her this lovely colour combination:

Then I set up my Krompski loom and warped up the bottom skein (sorry for the poor lighting)....

And began to weave!

I think it is quite lovely (if I do say so myself), and evokes the dappled forest tones we were going for!

 I hope she likes it!

P.S. If you want a custom, hand woven scarf, check out my etsy page!

Little things

My mum bought me a fringe twister for my birthday... and thus... all loose/leftover yarn in the house is being made into cords. It occurred to me after twisting up some pretty sparkle yarn from Holiday yarns that I could make some darn cute little bracelets/anklets/necklaces for my etsy shop... and so I did! For $2 (plus shipping) you can have your very own little wooly bracelet :)
